About Social mini league
We are building Northampton's favourite 7-a-side football community, offering everyday players a welcoming, well-organised space to play quality matches, have individual achievements celebrated, and catch up with friends.
Our story and purpose
Social mini league was founded in Northampton with a clear mission: to provide a safe, accessible, and positive environment where an average person can truly enjoy a football match. We believe amateur football should celebrate everyone, recognising personal milestones and team victories alike without the hassle of rigorous midweek training schedules.
Casual fun meets competitive spirit
Our matches strike the perfect balance between competitive excitement and casual fun. Whether you are turning out with work colleagues to unwind after the office or gathering your close friends for weekly bragging rights, you will experience properly refereed 7-a-side football where fair play and camaraderie come first.
Every player has a voice
Unlike impersonal leagues, our dedicated league manager is on-site at every match to support teams, handle fixtures, and ensure a warm, people-friendly atmosphere. We listen to our community, celebrate top individual performers, and guarantee high-standard venue in Northampton for all our fixtures.
“Social mini league gives us exactly what we wanted: a great pitch, proper organisation with a manager on site, and competitive games with mates without having to commit to midweek training.”
David M., Islington 7-a-side team captain
